I worked July 1-4th, which is four days but they are our four busiest days of the year at the museum because it’s American-Revolution-related. My brain felt like a pile of mush by the end of Independence Day, and then M and I went and canoed down the river with friends to watch the fireworks, which was only feasible for me because I had yesterday off.

On my day off! I cleaned the living room, front hall, bathroom, and my own bedroom, including washing sheets and towels and breaking down boxes in the hallway and sweeping everything. I went to therapy. I wore clothing that I liked and made me feel like myself. I ate more ice cream than I probably should have because it was hot out, and I listened to music. I got a letter from Friend T in the mail. I bought those frozen ice pops that are basically flavored sugar-water in tube form! M came home from work early! Friend T and I got takeout and ate it down by the river, and then when it got dark, we went back and hung out on the porch with M until T had to go home.

Then I collapsed and barely woke up in time this morning for work, but whatever, I’ve got people I love who love me back and I’m happy about it!

I found a thing I'd written about back at the end of 2014, and I wanted to put it here because it's nice. It made me happy to remember it.
